Subject to a minimum acquisition (generally U.S. $2,000.00), our portrait art leasing program may result in a lower effective cost than an outright cash purchase. Depending on the applicable tax laws, your lease payments may be eligible for deduction as a business expense. (Please note that deductibility will depend on the tax laws applicable to your business. Leasing may be conducted through an individual, corporation, trust, charitable organization or other legal entity. It shall be your responsibility to obtain the necessary legal and/or accounting advice prior to entering into a leasing arrangement). Following the satisfactory completion of a lease, and for a period of 30 days thereafter, Portraits of a World will sell the work(s) so leased for a purchase price equal to 10% of the original listed price.* This opportunity shall be available to such 3rd person or entity as may be designated by the Lessee.
*(Sales shall be subject to any shipping charges and/or taxes legally applicable thereto) Re-sale: In the event that someone who has purchased art from Portraits of a World wishes to sell the same, they will have the option to register that intent by notifying Portraits of a World, specifying the particular piece and the price being asked. Similarly, in the event an interested purchaser wishes to purchase a piece that has been sold (designated 'n/a'), they will have the option to notify Portraits of a World. Photo Submissions: If you have taken photographs of people which you think might be suitable as the basis for a painting, drawing or other artistic production, please contact us. If your photograph is selected and actually used by an artist, you will be entitled to receive a commission equal to 5% of the gross sale proceeds realized from the sale of such works. Such commission is payable upon the completion of sale of the said work and gross sale proceeds shall be exclusive of taxes, interest, shipping charges or any other governmental levy applicable to the sale.
